About Us

We actually met online at match.com. We talked through email for about 2 months before we went on our first date, in April 2007, which was dinner at Chili's and watching the movie Disturbia. After about 4 months of dating we went on our first (of hopefully many) trips together to San Antonio to celebrate Chris' 24th birthday. After that first date, there hasn't been a day that has gone by without talking to each other, either through email, text or on the phone (with the exception of the Caribbean cruise I went on January 2008... that was a long week for both of us, hehe)

Chris & I arranged a dinner for our parents at Rafain Brazillian Steakhouse on Sunday, March 29th. I thought it was just another parents meeting, and an early celebration for my mom's birthday.

We decided to exchange our 2 year anniversary gifts early at the dinner with our parents. After a wonderful dinner and dessert, I gave Chris his gift which was a new iPod touch. Then Chris handed me the first of 3 boxes for my gift/surprise. The first box held a new iPod touch armband that I wanted for working out. The 2nd gift was a scrapbook that Chris made from pictures over the past 2 years together. The waterworks started when I read the last page, which was a love letter from Chris.

After this, Chris told me that I needed to stand up for the last surprise, through my tears he helped me open the last box. Inside was a custom can which represented the long running joke we have of him getting me soup for Christmas gifts. The can had a homemade label and a picture of the 2 of us. Under the picture it said "Asked your Dad and he said yes, asked your Mom and she said yes, asked my parents and they said yes. Now I'm asking you....." He dropped down on one knee and and said "I'm going to make this easy on you, will you marry me?" With tears in my eyes, I said "Yes!"
