The Cake Inspiration

Here's the inspiration for our cake.  We're going with a travel theme for the reception and this cake helped to start it all.  I would change the silver dots to blue dots (since our colors are blue and green) and have the suitcases on top mainly in blue with green trim.

The Cake Stand

I have to thank local knottie Linzcw04 for this idea. I found it in her bio, and was lucky enough to purchase it from her after her wedding! We are thinking of adding spider mums to the votives on the ends.

Inspiration

Cake Topper

I had a custom cake toppers made via Etsy seller mudcards. Keren did a fabulous job on recreating the topper from the Knot inspiration picture.  I loved it so much I had her make one of us to go next to the groom's cake.

Groom's Cake

We want the groom's cake to be shaped like one of Chris' favorite hobbies - gaming.  We're going to do the main cake as an Xbox 360 and then add the controllers from his other systems.

Napkins & Cake Cutting Set

Napkins were purchased from the Knot.com and the cake cutting set was purchased from Exclusively Weddings (to match the toasting flutes gifted by my mom)
